Stitch Fix Men: My Honest Review

Sharing is caring!

There are so many blog posts and reviews about Stitch Fix from women, but you don’t see many Stitch Fix Men reviews. I’ve been very anxious and excited about trying Stitch Fix Men and I finally decided to sign up and get my first Fix. In this post, I’ll share everything that I received in my Stitch Fix box, let you know my thoughts and if I will request another shipment from Stitch Fix.

How Stitch Fix Men Works

Before we jump into all of the Stitch Fix goods, let me give you a rundown of how Stitch Fix works, for all of the newbies out there.

1. To get started, you will complete all sorts of questions on sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. You can also write notes about likes/dislikes. Make sure to link your Pinterest, so your stylist can see what you like!

2. Order your first fix! Your card will be charged a $20 styling fee, however, if you keep any item [one or more] you will be credited back the $20. Because of this I always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20 for nothing in return. You will receive 5 items [made up of clothing, shoes, belts, ties whatever you prefer]. You can also let your stylist know if you only want clothing in your fix.

3. Decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back [in a postage-paid envelope]! You have 3 business days to do so – use this time to try everything on, see what you have in your closet that pairs well with it and don’t be afraid to say yes to something that you wouldn’t normally. That’s what makes Stitch Fix so fun! If you keep all 5 items you will receive 25% off your entire fix – yes, please!

It should be noted that while I have chosen to receive monthly fixes, this is in no way a subscription service and you are able to decide when you want another fix, whether that be in 6 months or 2 years from your first fix! As always, if you ever have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments section below.

Review of My First Stitch Fix Box

Okay now seriously, here we go! Remember – If you see anything that you like below, feel free to pin away and/or ask your stylist in the notes section of your next fix for something similar!

Wooster Slim Fit Jean by Blank NYC | 32 | 98.00 | Exchange

It should be noted that I am very picky about my jeans and when I saw that these were in my fix I was very unsure. The stripes on the jeans looked a little weird to me and these were not something I would have ever picked up in the store. I was so pleasantly surprised, though. Once I tried the jeans on, I was in love. The stripes on the side gave me more of a slim look and the length was perfect. The only issue I have with them is the fit. They are a little tight around my quads. Stitch Fix does offer an exchange for any item that they have in stock, in your size. My plan is to try to exchange for a size up and hopefully they will have them in stock.

Marco Vintage Wash Henley by Even Tide | L | 36.00 | Kept

This navy blue t-shirt fit really well and was definitely something I would wear. It was perfect for Texas summers – very breathable and light. It will also pair well with so many items that I already own. If you like a more fitted shirt, I would recommend sizing down.

I paired this look with my New Balance 515 sneakers. There aren’t many sizes in this color, but there are many colors to choose from. You can check them out here.

Cactus Slub Short Sleeve Shirt by Heritage | L | 58.00 | Kept

This shirt is not something I would typically purchase. When I first pulled it out of the box, I was really unsure if I would like it. The cactus pattern is definitely outside of my comfort zone. However, after trying it on with shorts, I actually really liked the fit and pattern. It went especially well with the chino shorts that my stylist sent. It’s not too fitted and it’s very comfortable. I don’t usually choose collared shirts because they can feel stuffy, but this shirt was not at all. The only issue I have with this shirt is that it is kind of see-through. Wearing a white undershirt would be a quick fix for this if it bothers you.

9″ Essential Wash Chino Short by Hawker Rye | 32 | 45.00 | Kept

I was excited to see these blue chinos! I went through a long phase of wearing chino shorts and have several pairs with all different colors, I have since outgrown them. Once I saw these were in my fix I was ready to start wearing chino shorts again. They were true to size and great for the summer heat. I really loved this shirt and shorts combo for a dressed-up casual look.

My leather Vineyard Vines Flip-Flops went perfectly with this casual look. You can shop them here.

Kensington Lux Pima Polo by Fairlane | L | 48.00 | Return

The last item to review is this Polo shirt. It fit great, but I just don’t need another Polo. My sister and mom were pushing me to keep it, but I wasn’t sold. It went back.

I paired the Polo with my chinos from a past Trunk Club. My Sperry’s are from Nordstrom but you can find them on Amazon.

My Final Thoughts on Stitch Fix Men

I was VERY pleased with my first Stitch Fix. I don’t have a lot of time for shopping, so having clothes delivered straight to my door was so convenient. I also love that I can communicate with my stylist and let him/her know specific items I would like to receive and certain items I’m not interested in receiving. I can’t wait to receive my 2nd Stitch Fix shipment!
