Magnolia Table Review

If you know me, you know that I am a huge fan of Chip and Joanna Gaines from the show Fixer Upper. They now have several places you can visit in Waco, Texas. There’s Magnolia Market Silos, Silos Baking Co., and Magnolia Table. Magnolia Table is a breakfast and lunch restaurant, serving breakfast all day. Magnolia Table is honestly, one of the MOST delicious restaurants I have ever enjoyed! It’s also one of the busiest, but definitely worth the wait! If you want to get seated quick, read my Magnolia Table Review to learn my tips for the best times to visit.

Magnolia Table Location & Hours

Magnolia Table is located at 2132 S Valley Mills Dr, Waco, Texas and about 7 minutes from Magnolia Market. They are open Monday through Saturday (closed Sunday) from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Best Time To Visit

I have heard so much hype about Magnolia Table. Everyone talks about how the food is out of this world! My family lives about an hour and half away and we just had to visit. The first time we tried to get a table, it was Spring at the Silos, on a Friday. We arrived at Magnolia Table around 11:00 a.m. and the waiting list was already filled for the day, being that they close at 3:00 p.m. I know crazy, right?!

The best time to visit Magnolia table is definitely during the week and Tuesday is the slowest day. If you are wanting to eat breakfast, I would recommend getting there before 8:30 a.m. and you more than likely won’t have to wait. If you are wanting to eat lunch, I would recommend going before 12:30 p.m. You might have a short wait at this time, but you can grab an iced coffee next door at the Take Away. Be aware that if you visit Magnolia Table on a Friday or Saturday, you are going to have to wait at least an hour.

Does Magnolia Table Take Reservations?

Magnolia Table does not take reservations. But I will say, the way they work the waitlist is pretty cool. You will give your phone number as you’re added to the list. You can leave the premises. Once they are ready for you, you will receive a text and you have 7 minutes to show up.

Breakfast At Magnolia Table

The breakfast at Magnolia Table is seriously the best breakfast I have ever had. It’s delicious and you get a lot of food! My sister and I ordered the pancake breakfast, which comes with homemade buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, house-made tater tots + your choice of sausage or thick-cut peppered bacon. My mom ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes, which are pancakes filled with blueberries, lemon zest and topped with lemon butter. These are also served with two eggs, house-made tater tots + your choice of sausage or thick-cut peppered bacon. I cannot say enough good things about our breakfast. It was out of this world delicious! I’m already looking forward to going back!

Lunch At Magnolia Table

After that amazing breakfast, we obviously had to come back for lunch. Yes, the same day! Once we had shopped around Magnolia Market and other surrounding stores, we decided to head back to try out lunch. There are so many irresistible choices, my mom and I couldn’t decide what to order. We ended up deciding to get 2 different sandwiches and then split them with each other.

I ordered the favorite chicken salad sandwich that contains white meat chicken, mayo, pecans, red grapes and chives served with butter lettuce on a flaky croissant. This was no ordinary chicken salad it was the BEST chicken salad I’ve ever had. My mom ordered the Aunt Mikey’s turkey sandwich, which comes on toasted wheatberry bread with sliced turkey, Havarti cheese, cream cheese, Heirloom tomato, avocado, cucumber, salt + pepper. It was very tasty, but we both preferred the chicken salad. It simply could not be beat!

My sister ordered the Chip’s ham sandwich, it has sliced grilled ham topped with melted cheddar and two scrambled eggs and is served on a croissant with a side of house-made tater tots. We all loved our meals and can’t wait to come back and try some different things.

Take Away

The Take Away is a small market connected to Magnolia Table. They have several fresh Magnolia Table foods available. These items are already prepackaged and ready for you to drop in and carry out for lunch on-the-go. You’re also able to order coffee and espresso, and you can purchase a wide assortment of Magnolia Table gifts such as t-shirts, hats, kitchen towels and mugs.

Is Magnolia Table Worth The Wait?

After thinking about my meal and time at Magnolia Table, I have to say, it is definitely worth the wait, especially as a big Chip and Jo fan. The meal was affordable, and the portions were so big that most of us had a hard time finishing our orders. Eating at Magnolia Table felt like we were sitting down at Chip and Jo’s kitchen table for a meal with their family. If you’re planning a trip to Magnolia Market at the Silos, definitely add Magnolia Table to the list of places to eat!
